Wedding in Beynac

Chloe and Aidan had rented a house that could accommodate the team of 20. It was just the Bride & Groom, immediate family plus attendants & partners.

The house was huge, 3 levels, large rooms, a substantial garden and a 27 metre swimming pool. The house was immediately below the Chateau and faced the sun all day. We could look down to the village houses and river 100 metres below. The views were superb, the hot air balloons appeared in the morning and evening. The weather behaved and we could dine outside each evening.

French legal requirements didn't allow for an official ceremony, so the registry office in London was just the official paperwork part and the ceremony in France was THE main event.

The wedding was at 2.30pm in the garden with Sophie as the celebrant. Sarah and Pip were bridesmaids and Izzie was the flower girl. Lachy & Ed supported Aidan.

A lovely short service, vows were exchanged, then wedding rings.

We had some celebration drinks and then sat down to a delicious 3 course meal at 4:30pm from a very good local caterer. Foie Gras, Confit of Pork and a trio of desserts were prepared and served.
